THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINS A CONTINUAL RELATIONSHIP
with congregations, agencies, and religious schools in Monroe and Ontario Counties and continues in its general commitment to the enhancement of Jewish life in the area. Our programs are designed to strengthen our Jewish identity—not only as a community, but also globally and as individuals.
Support for Local Jewish Programs
The Max and Marian Farash Foundation is committed to improving the quality of Jewish Life in Monroe and Ontario counties through investments in Jewish education, leadership development, arts and culture, synagogue life, Jewish agencies, and summer camping.
The Foundation also puts emphasis on programs of social importance in Israel and elsewhere in the world, which mirrors the work the Foundation does in impoverished neighborhoods in the Rochester area, all with a commitment to fulfill the imperative of "tikkun olam,” repairing the world.
Since 2011, the Foundation has significantly enhanced the cohesiveness of the Rochester Jewish community and has invested more than $30 million in a vision to make Rochester a great city for Jewish life.
Israel and International Support
The Foundation supports select programs internationally and in Israel as determined by the Board of Trustees.
(Please note: No external requests for international funding will be considered.)
